Representative Vikki Goodwin represents Texas House District 47 in western and far south Travis County and is a small business owner, real estate broker, and community leader. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA and the LBJ School of Public Affairs with a master’s degree, Representative Goodwin remained in Austin and raised her children. A long-time resident of south Austin, Representative Goodwin has remained active in her community, serving on HOA Boards, civic club boards, Austin Board of Realtor committees, an Austin ISD task force and more. Her volunteer work gave her insight into the need for various services in the community and strengthened her determination to help those who slip through the cracks, so often as a result of medical issues, student loans, or low paying jobs. Representative Goodwin is currently running for Lt. Governor of the State of Texas.
