Building community is at the heart of what we do at Let's Move Austin, whether it's connecting with our neighbors or finding the perfect place for our clients so they can build community too. When the opportunity came up to be the Music Stage sponsor at Hello Circle C Night, how could we pass that up? In Austin, there are fews things that get people out and mingling with one another more than listening and dancing to some of Austin's top local bands. Hello Circle C Night is an opportunity for neighbors to come together to try out several food truck options, support local business, and relax on a Friday evening with their friends and neighbors. With an extensive kid zone, it's the perfect place for kids to get their wiggles out (you've seen nothing until they all join in on the dance floor!). So, bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets to Circle C Community Center, 7817 La Crosse Ave from 5:00 to 8:00 on April 15th, May 12th, September 15th, and ending with an October 30th community Halloween celebration. Be sure to stop by our Let's Move Austin booth to say hello!

Does the function of my home still work for our lifestyle? What color did that article say is all the rage now? When it's time to sell, what will buyers think of my home? If I renovate, how am I going to pay for it? How will I cart all this stuff out once the process starts? These questions and more were on the minds of our guests at the second Value Your Home seminar focusing on home design trends and renovation ideas.
Design team Debbie Campsmith and Tara Rainey of Loop One Design, and Megan Finchert of Eyedeator gave our guests insights into the latest design trends and working with your existing decor to give it a modern update. Our own Brandi Summers of Let's Move Austin shared some conditions that turn buyers off, like odors and mismatched flooring. She also revealed what buyers are excited to see in a new home, like calming colors and plants to give a space life. Chad Mullenix of CMG Home Loans provided some options to help homeowners finance renovations costs. Lastly, Taylor James and Barett Kernon of Dumpster Dogs let our guests know there are dumpsters available to rent for the small jobs all the way up to whole house renovations. Once again, our guests left armed with information they need to make informed decisions regarding what the next steps are for their home.
