Does the function of my home still work for our lifestyle? What color did that article say is all the rage now? When it's time to sell, what will buyers think of my home? If I renovate, how am I going to pay for it? How will I cart all this stuff out once the process starts? These questions and more were on the minds of our guests at the second Value Your Home seminar focusing on home design trends and renovation ideas. 

Design team Debbie Campsmith and Tara Rainey of Loop One Design, and Megan Finchert of Eyedeator gave our guests insights into the latest design trends and working with your existing decor to give it a modern update. Our own Brandi Summers of Let's Move Austin shared some conditions that turn buyers off, like odors and mismatched flooring. She also revealed what buyers are excited to see in a new home, like calming colors and plants to give a space life. Chad Mullenix of CMG Home Loans provided some options to help homeowners finance renovations costs. Lastly, Taylor James and Barett Kernon of Dumpster Dogs let our guests know there are dumpsters available to rent for the small jobs all the way up to whole house renovations. Once again, our guests left armed with information they need to make informed decisions regarding what the next steps are for their home.
